I am not at all surprised to find that more than half of my visitors are looking for either and e-commerce or content management website. Excluding those who already have one that is.
Content management is the big winner in this poll. But what you may not know, is that many content management systems do offer e-commerce functionality. Drupal for example provides basic shopping cart functionality, categorization of products, shipping, payment through PayPal and other popular online pament processors and sales reports - all administrated through a simple interface.
The comments system and other contributed modules add functionality such as ratings, reviews and email a friend.
While most e-commerce packages have more advanced functionality, which your website may or may not need, none that I have seen have the other capabilities that a content management system has to offer.
