What do the poll results mean?

The results are pretty clear. Most webmasters want more visitors. But it was a trick question! Choice #1 greatly depends on choices #2 through #5. For example:

  • Get better placement in the search engines and you'll get more visitors
  • Have a better design and you'll get more visitors.
  • Maintain your content more easily and you'll get more visitors.
  • Provide more resources and you'll get more visitors.
  • Sell your products more effectively and you'll get more visitors.

In fact, all the choices are dependent on each other:

  • Maintain your content more easily, in order to provide more resources for your visitors, in turn get a better placement in the search engines, by having a better design, visitors will be able to browse for and buy your products more effectively and you'll get more (repeat) visitors.
