Resource Website
The Destination Bride website is an example of a large resource website powered by Drupal. The more than 1,700 resource pages are managed and organized through this powerful content management system.
Custom page types were designed to organize overviews, maps, links and other information for each of 60 regions. The menu tree is generated automatically by the Drupal system and is consistent on all pages.
Content can be easily edited by the website owner or her staff. Upon login, an editor can navigate to the page to be edited and click a tab that reads "edit". Both page creation and editing is done through a simple web form interface. Any page can be featured as news by promoting it to the front page.
Visitors may register at the website and become users. As a registered user, they can receive newsletters and add comments or testimonials to designated pages. All users - visitors, editors and administrators - have controlled access to the website.
Banner advertisments are handled by the website and are served up randomly, according to category. This feature was sponsored by Advanced Web Design and donated back to the Drupal community.
